Urban mothers have one major fear that their newborns’ first word might just be ‘iPad’. And for many of them, this might even come true. As important as it is to keep up with the ever-changing technology, these days children completely immerse themselves in a world where only video games, iPads, computers and televisions exist. And often, it’s commonplace to catch a parent asking her eight year old ‘how do I send that email on my Android?’ But one must not forget that good old sports and interaction with children of the same age group is not just healthy but also essential for a child’s all rounded development. So here are a few ideas that might help you interest your child with a fun interactive activity rather than just a being stuck to a screen.

MK’s Dancing Wheels
Conducted by Mukesh Patil and Komal Thakkar, MK’s Dancing Wheels is India’s first dancing-on-skates company. Mukesh, a national roller-skates winner realized that people were loosing interest quickly if they enrolled in an only-skating or only-dancing program. Therefore to ensure that a child’s interest level would stay intact, he decided to launch a new concept that was so widely loved abroad. With branches in Ghatkopar and Juhu, his students come from all over Mumbai and are as young as 2.5 years old.
