One of my favourite things about Mumbai summer is definitely the Bandstand Revival Gigs. Now in it’s 5th year, the series will feature gigs on eight consecutive Saturdays, starting tomorrow, April 6, at these venues – Dadar Chowpatty Bandstand, Hanging Gardens (Kamala Nehru Udyan) and Horniman Circle Gardens, Fort.

The best thing about these gigs : they are completely free and a offer a breather from our usual indoor gigs in the city.

The event, organised by the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry along with Stuart DaCosta (vocalist Something Relevant) is all about bringing back  of Mumbai’s rich bandstand culture to the locals. The opening act this Saturday features singer-songwriter  Winit Tikoo and Pune rock act Lambada at Dadar Chowpatty Bandstand.
