What can be a better way to celebrate the birth anniversary of a great artist like Rabindranath Tagore than enjoying and understanding his works of art? National Gall of Modern Arts and the Ministry of Culture has organised The Last Harvest, an exhibition of Tagore’s paintings. This event is initiated by Professor Raman Sivakumar to mark Rabindranath’s 150th birth anniversary.

About Professor R.Sivakumar
Professor R.Sivakumar has been teaching art history at Kala Bhavana,Santiniketan since 1981. Currently, he is principal and professor of art history. He is a contemporary Indian art historian, art critic and curator. He has also curated exhibitions like “Santiniketan:The making of a Contextual Modernism” and co-curated an exhibition “Tryst with Destiny” for Singapore Art Museum to mark 50 years of Indian Independence.

The Last Harvest
This exhibition is divided into four sections. The first section covers his work of animals and composites,the second covers landscapes and nature,the third dedicated to figures and dramatic scenes while the fourth to faces and characters.
