Launchpad: Feeast@East, The New Awadhi And Bengali Fusion Food Eatery In Mahim



Mahim just got a new eatery, Feeast@East last week. A first sit and dine brand by SAP Foods, the eatery will be serving fusion food that tweaks and twists Awadhi and Bengali food.

The eatery is a 26 seater, well lit and comfortable space for a quick meal. It offers wifi and convinient charging points for the corporate lunchers.

Feeast@East’s à-la-carte menu features an array of non-vegetarian and vegetarian options. The dishes aim to highlight the flavours of Bengali and Awadhi cuisine. Expect everything from sea food, kebabs, accompaniments and appetizers to main dishes and desserts. Must try among appetisers would be the Kolkata chops and cutlets. Main-course includes eastern flavored vegetarian options like Shukto (bitter-sweet mixed vegetable), Jhuri Aalo Bhaja (Bengali version of potato wedges), Potoler Dolma (Pointed-gourd stuffed with mildly flavoured cottage cheese), Chanar Dalna (cottage cheese balls cooked in a authentic Bengali gravy) and non-vegetarian specialties like Bhetki Paturi (Fish fillet coated with mustard paste, wrapped and steamed inside a banana leaf), Pabdar Jhal (Freshwater fish cooked in a light ‘home-feel’ gravy), Kosha Mangsho (A traditional slow-braised mutton preparation from Bengal, best served with Luchi/ steamed rice). The Awadhi menu throws open many interesting choices like Murg Mussalam (which consists of just the right amount of Keema and Eggs) or the Dal Tadka with egg (a rare dish to find in Mumbai) or the Mutton Khara Masala. Completing the repertoire of the Mughlai food offering are classics like the Rezala and the Chaap.
