Foodies! This year the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival has some great food workshops by Mumbai’s talented chefs and food consultants. Here is a list for your ready reference. And the best part? There is no entry free. You can go watch, taste yummy delights and learn foodie secrets from some of the top chefs from Mumbai. Enjoy!

When: 1st- 9th Feb 2014

1. Take Me to Mexico:
Watch Chef Maya Dastoor of Catering Co Take Away Chef Make guacamole,salsa, refried bean salad and enchiladas from scratch
When: Sunday, Feb 2nd, 1-3pm

2. Icing on Top :
Learn to make delicious eggless desserts from the pastry chef Ayushi Shah of dessert catering service Icing on Top.
When : Monday, Feb 3rd, 4:30-6:30pm

3. Sing Kong :
Learn to make steamed open buns with textured soya wheat black pepper and lamb rendang at a session conducted by Vika Seth of Sing Kong.
When: Feb 4th, 4:30-6:30pm

4. Between Breads :
Learn to make this Bandra outfit’s awesome beef cheeseburgers, bacon fried and their versions of the Philly sandwich.
When : Wednesday, Feb 5th, 4:30-6:30pm

5. Such a Tart :
Learn about making themed cakes and goodies at a mouthwatering workshop conducted by Aashiyana Shroff of Tart who recently opened two new Cafes at Bandra and Napean Sea Rd.
When : Thursday, Feb 6th, 1-3pm

6. Moshe’s :
Learn some trade secrets and simple tips from Moshe Shek, who specializes Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food.
When : Thursday, Feb 6th, 4:30-6:30pm

7. Fun Flavourful French :
Sanjana Patel, head chef at La Folie patisserie, will demonstrate how to make a homemade macaroon ice cream and hand-painted chocolate bon-bons.
When : Friday, feb 7th, 4:30-6:30pm

8. Life Ki Recipe :
Learn the secrets to homemade jam and confectionaries with food blogger Amrita Rana, who is famous for her artisanal spreads.
When : Saturday, Feb 8th, 1-3pm

9. Cafe Zoe :
Attend a workshop on authentic European breakfast and brunch food, conducted by Viraf Patel of Cafe Zoe.
When : Saturday, Feb 8th, 4:30-6:30pm

10. Bawi Bride :
Learn to make no-fuss Parsi food at home with caterer and food blogger Perzen Patel aka Bawi Bride.
When : Sunday, Feb 9th, 1-3pm

Food Heritage Walk
Also check out a food heritage walk on Mumbai’s Irani Cafes, led by Kalyan Karmarkar of popular food blog Finely Chopped. The walks begins at 3:45pm on Thursday, Feb 6th. Participants must register at Artisans’ between 2pm and 2:30pm.
