Happy Ganesh Chaturthi Mumbai!
We hope the Elephant Lord brings peace, harmony and happiness to the city. May the remover of all obstacles bless Mumbai!

To celebrate his arrival we bring you a collection of photos by our friend and photographer Ashish Tibrewal that covers the journey of the Lord from workshops to our homes and hearts today. From moulding clay, to adding those delicate strokes of colour, craftsmen create the most beautiful moortis of the Lord in their workshops. Finished moortis await devotees to come and take them home. And the joy when finally travelling across trains, buses, rickshaws and taxis, Mumbai’s favourite Ganesha arrives home on Ganesh Chaturthi. We hope you will enjoy his photographs as much as we did.
