Event: Malaysian Food Festival At India Jones, The Trident
“There is no sincerer love than the love of food” said George Bernard Shaw. For those who live by this maxim, presenting the Malaysian Food Festival at India Jones, Trident which will continue till 24th of February.

India Jones is a restaurant at Trident, Nariman Point, where you can sample many recipes from across the orient by Bharat Joyent. With flavours from China, Korea, Vietnam, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the variety is wide and the experience can be fun.

On his return from Malaysia, Bharat Joyent of India Jones has brought along Chef Kamarudin Bin Dali and Chef Abdul Rauf Bin Zolkefli from Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur to introduce Malay culinary delicacies at India Jones. If there is anything that the chefs guarantee, its authntic Malay cuisine, cooked and served just like it should be.
The Food
At an event announcing the Malaysian Food Festival at Trident, Mr Manoharan Periasamy, Director, Tourism Malaysia said, “Malaysian cuisine offers an incredible wealth of color, exotic tastes and smells. Its rich array of flavors reflects the country’s multi-ethnic culture. Malaysian food is a true combination of Asian flavors – combining native Malay, Chinese and Indian cooking.”
So what can you expect? Everything from Satays and Otak, a popular Peranankan delicacy of fragrant banana leaf parcels with spicy mackerel fish mousse. Savour Nasi Goreng Kampung, Malay Fried Rice, Mix Satay, Acar, and Crackers, Ikan Bakar Daun Pisang, Grilled Fish in Banana Leaf, Tamarind Sauce, Jasmine Rice, Mango Salad; Sup Lautan Segar, Traditional Malay Seafood Soup and more. For those with sweet-tooth, chefs have Bubur Kacang Dan Cucur Kodok Pisang, Green Bean Soup and Fried Banana Fritters or the Agar-agar Kelapa pandan Ice-Cream, Coconut Jelly along with an array of other desserts.
