Come May and Mumbai is set to get a new Pan Asian restaurant, Mamagato.

About Mamagato
Mamagato is an Asian restaurant from Delhi which will soon have its outlets in Mumbai. Mamagato, which literally means ‘play with food’ invites people to understand the textures and shapes of food. Founded by Rahul Khanna and Kabir Suri, this restaurant will soon be open to Mumbaiaites at Ghatkopar and Bandra on Thursday, 2nd May 2013. It will offer regional cuisines from China, Japan and Thailand.

Food
With their unique concept of ‘playing with food’, the chefs at Mamagato have crafted the dishes with personal inputs experimenting with flavours and textures. It will have a lot of veggie and fish options than it’s Delhi counterparts. Along with authentic Japanese Robata grill and Thai delicacies, you can also taste dishes like Rock Shrimp Tempura with signature Chili Mayo, Khau Suey, Mamagoto Chicken wrap, the Beijing Seafood Soup, Grilled Fish with South East Asian dressing and more. Their seasonal menu includes The Mamagato Asian Summer salad which includes mango and Taiwanese minced chicken rice flavoured with driedo shrimp. Choose from desserts like Caramel Sponge Cake with Toffee Sauce or the homemade Coconut and Palm Sugar ice cream.

Ambiance
The interiors at Mumbai outlets will be subtle yet quirky. It will have a relaxed and casual atmosphere with bright and lively wall art and Chinese décor. You can also find some Japanese origami work in the restaurants.
