Here is what Blue Frog has to say about Mumbai based feel good band Something Relevant: “Their sonic influences spring from a vast variety of spaces that culminate in a lilting freshness, a new generational identity with which the city’s force has come to relate. It is the voice of the generation of today, upbeat, improvisational.”

About Something Relevant:
Something Relevant aka STR was formed in 2003 on a basketball court. The 6 member ensemble create music which is an amalgamation of jazz, funk, blues, reggae, rock, pop, soul & afrohighlife. Something Relevant released its debut album ‘Feels Good To Be Live’ in December 2009. In 2010, Something Relevant toured India, Indonesia and in August to November , the band did a two month tour of the UK, playing for a month at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe and then at clubs and colleges including a special gig at the famous Ronnie Scott’s Bar in London. More recently, just lat month they released their latest album We Could Be Dreaming.

Last night they performed at The Blue frog, and here are some snap shots of the evening.
