Animal WelfareAll you animal lovers, here is our list of some of the animal welfare organisations in Mumbai that you can reach out to should any stray or pet animal need it. And oh yes, we have decided to call our lists.. ahem.. Mumbai Lists 🙂 (#MumbaiList on Twitter) for everyone to find them easily in the future as we go on adding lists over time.  And we are going to start attaching numbers too, just for kicks. So here goes the second list of animal welfare centers in Mumbai –

All India Animal Welfare Association (AIAWA)

Animal Lovers Association Society (ALAS)

Association For Service & Healing Of Animals

Services: Animal birth control, funding, hospitalization, medical services for stray animals, awareness programmes in schools and colleges with regard to animals (especially reptiles and snakes) and the environment, holding camps for working cattle, horses and donkeys (they hold medical camps for the animals who work and whose owners are poor to afford their treatment)

    Hi. I’m Manav from Kandivali West and I was just eager to know whether the kitten (the image at the top of the page) is lost to it’s owner, Garima Sharma? Because I’ve got exactly the same cat in my society grounds and it has been here for quite some time now, almost a month, I think. I’m just wanting to confirm, as it’s stray and has an almost heart like pattern on its back! I’ve got the picture too, sorry i couldn’t get the face.
