    • Priya Malhotra

      Hi Kshitija,
As a daughter, I understand what you may be going through. For someone who had been in a similar situation, it took me a long time to counsel my mother and give her the courage to leave my father. Don’t lose hope and don’t lose courage.
Do contact Sneha Foundation if you are in Mumbai. They should be able to take care of everything.
      Good luck.

hi. i am single and in my 30s. i have often seen this in mumbai that being a singe woman i am harassed. many a times men mosty married men seem to make dirty gestures , remarks and also try to molest … is their any law that protects single women.. they stalk and sometimes i feel they want to molest.. they are mosty middle aged married men… i wan to know what rights i have and what laws precautions i can take..thanks

    • Priya Malhotra

Single or married, the laws for women remain the same. If there is someone in particular you fear, I am sure you can take an Apprehended violence order (AVO) with the help of a lawyer and the police.
