#MumbaiList: Restaurant News! They Just Keep Coming!
It seems like Mumbai’s food lovers are going to have a tough time keeping up. It seems like this city list of eateries just keep growing. That’s a part of the charm I suppose, there’s always place for more. Here’s a look at some of the newest additions.

Toasty and Tasty, Quiznos
More Subs!
I suppose this was a long time coming. For a quite a while now the sandwich chain Subway has monopolized the submarine sandwich market. Now Quiznos, an American brand has opened their first branch in Pali Naka, Bandra. Their specialty is the toasted sub, hence the slightly strange tag line “Mmm…Toasty”. In addition to sandwiches they serve pizzas, soups, salads and dessert. Quiznos already has outlets in Chennai, Hyderabad and Delhi. The plan is to have 10 branches in India. Wonder if Mumbai will love their sub?

Customers enjoying Yogos desserts
Brain Freeze
It seems like yogurt stalls are out to take over the city, and won’t rest until there’s one every 10 meters. We already had Yogurberry, Yogurt Bay, Smooch, Cocoberry, Si Gusta, Fro Yo, 6th Street Yogurt, etc. I get a brain freeze just listing these. Now we can add two more to this frosty list.
Yogos Cafe (Lokhandwala, Andheri West) : This bright candy coloured cafe serves the usual 4 base flavors with toppings of fruit, nuts and other frills. Prices start around Rs.120 for a small cup. They serve fruit parfaits, cup cakes, smoothies and coffee.
F.Y.I (Churchgate) : Frozen Yogurt Inc. has an interesting take on the trend. Their frozen yogurt creations draw inspiration from Delicae Patisserie’s popular desserts. So if you love red velvet cake, you can now have Red Velvette frozen yogurt. Other flavors include strawberry cheesecake, apple crumble, fruit meringue and banofee.
Branching Out
Pico Cafe has been creating a bit of a stir since they opened. Especially when they served free food for a whole month, at their Phoenix Market City branch, as a part of a promotional offer. This brand creates three different dining experiences; Pico Gourmet Kitchen, Cafe Pico and Pico Express. They boast of fresh ingredients, local produce and a global dining experience. So far the reviews have been pretty favourable. They are now in the process of opening their first branch in the western Suburbs; a new out post of Pico Express at Lokhandwala. They will serve healthy, wholesome meals on the go. This branch is very small and has almost no seating area. It’s geared to be more of a take-out joint.

Burgers at Gostana, Mumbai
Gostana, which was forced to shut down their Pali Naka branch a while ago. But they have recently relocated to 24th Road, Bandra West. They officially opened last weekend. Patrons will definitely celebrate the re-opening of their friendly neighbourhood cafe where pets are welcome and leisurely chats are encouraged. The menu offers a wide range of healthy burgers, sumptuous snacks and beverages. (If you inform them in advance they will even treat your pet-pooch to a meal!)
Gelato Italiano has opened a new branch on J.P. Road (Versova, Andheri West) As a part of their promotional offer they have a few flavors available at just Rs.20 a scoop. I’d make a visit just for the trill of a bargain!
There you have it! Don’t you wish your belly had unlimited space like this city seems to have?
