Sandhan Valley Trail
Sandhan Valley Trail

Climb the rocky mountains and wade through waist-deep water; trail to Sandhan valley near Bhandardara organized by Jumstart India sounds exciting for sure! It will start from Borivali by bus and reach Samradh village post lunch. A trek to Sandhan valley will start after it. After four to five hours of exploring the valley, you will return to the village for a hearty lunch around campfire. Next morning will be reserved for Konkan Kada, a natural rock formation.

This weekend, ditch your regular workout sessions in crammed space. Enjoy the nature while you make your body and mind healthy. Jumpstart India has organised an outdoor Yoga and wellness workshop at SGNP, Borivali. It will be conducted by Archana Bijlani, a certified/trained yoga instructor and nutritionist. The session will continue for around six hours and you have to carry your breakfast, lunch and water. Jumpstart will provide vehicles from SGNP gate to Kanheri caves where session will be conducted.

Photography workshop

You can now learn photography in a moving bus. Photographer Kaushik Chakravorty will teach Portraiture and documentary photography in a BEST bus this Sunday. This workshop is a part of the series-Breaking Rules. It will be divided in two parts where in first you will practice photography and in the next, the theory and editing the pictures in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, You must have your own camera-SLR, point and shoot or good phone camera to participate in the workshop.

This Friday, one of the India’s pioneer Rock band, Pentagram will perform live at Blue Frog. Their latest electro influenced album ‘Bloodywood’ was released in March 2011. They will be performing their old as well as new numbers such as Nocturne which has released on 20th March this year. It talks about the restlessness and insomnia in Mumbai city. Don’t miss the gig as the band will be releasing their new video there!

This Saturday, immerse in some Sufi Rock by Urdu singer-songwriter Winit Tikoo and groove to the beats of Hindi Rock by Lambada at The Bandstand Revival, a project to revive the bandstand culture in Mumbai. It will start tomorrow and will continue till 25th of May, with performances every Saturday. The best part of these project is the open air gigs at various spots in Mumbai.
