image1Pet parents rejoice as the city gets a new pet friendly eatery today. Located in the busy Vile Parle Market, the Zoo Bar launches today. Founder Nishant Joshi likes to call it a 'bar with cause'. Being an animal lover himself he and partners Niteesh Tokle and Paarth Pandya wanted to tackle the dearth of pet friendly restaurants in the city and not just open another bar. Not only does the Zoo Bar allow pets to visit along with guests, they have also associated with Mumbai based World For All and Peta and a percentage of the revenue will go towards animal welfare. image2Zoo bar will house the longest 34 feet long bar in Mumbai where 16 feet will be dedicated to beer kegs. Spread across 3,600 square feet with an 800 square feet al fresco area, the venue is brought to life by various fun animal sculptures and art work done by Mod’Art students. The industrial theme is kept alive with exposed pipes and upscaled furniture. z7Zoo bar will serve 13 types of beers and 6 types of craft. An exclusive range of cocktails include the zoo size iced tea, fresh fruit apple and coriander sangria, dancing jar (lemon grass infused Jack Daniel’s honey served with gingerrail) and more. The food menu features burgers served in cages, pizzas, Turkish, Arabic and Pan Asian Food. A special Jain menu and pets menu has also been created. Pets will be allowed in the open area of the bar from 2 pm- 7pm. Kennels are provided for dogs so that post 7 pm pet parents can continue to enjoy their evenings without a worry. A soft board at the entrance offers space ffor animal lovers to stick pictures of pets for adoption.
